Nkweta Salami calls for aid to those in need in Sudan

November 30, 2023 (PEN) The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, Clementine Nkweta Salami, said that humanitarian workers are working to reach those in need of life-saving assistance.

Salami added that with the continued violent fighting in Sudan, half of the population needs some kind of assistance, declaring their need for support.

It is noteworthy that the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has participated in humanitarian interventions since the outbreak of the conflict in Sudan on April 15 between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces.
