Washington condemns the Rapid Support Forces' bombing of a WFP facility in Darfur.

May 31, 2025 (PEN) The US State Department condemned the bombing of a World Food Programme facility in Darfur by Rapid Support Forces, according to field reports.

In a post, it strongly condemned the targeting of humanitarian facilities, called for an immediate halt to indiscriminate shelling of civilian areas, and emphasized the need to protect civilians and ensure unhindered access for humanitarian aid.

The United Nations announced yesterday that World Food Programme facilities in El Fasher had been damaged by repeated shelling by the Rapid Support Forces.
