Egyptian-American contact discusses the Sudanese crisis and regional issues

June 10, 2026 (PEN) The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Badr Abdel-Aty, discussed with the Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs, Massad Boulos, developments in Sudan and a number of regional issues of common interest.

This came during a telephone call between the two sides on Monday, during which they exchanged views on regional issues, foremost among them the Sudanese crisis.

Abdel-Aati stressed the need to preserve the unity of Sudan and the integrity of its territory, to support its national institutions, and to reject the establishment of any parallel entities.

The Egyptian minister stressed the importance of launching a purely Sudanese-owned political process to end the conflict, in addition to reaching a humanitarian truce that paves the way for a sustainable ceasefire, allowing humanitarian aid to reach the Sudanese people and alleviate their suffering.
