Emergency lawyers: 10 civilians killed in drone attack in West Kordofan

May 31, 2026 (PEN) Emergency Lawyers Group said that a drone strike on May 30, 2026, killed 10 civilians, including 8 children under the age of 10 and 2 women, and injured 4 others in the Kadam area of ​​West Kordofan State.

The group added that the victims had fled from the Abu Karshola area of ​​South Kordofan state to Kadam, seeking safety, before being targeted at their displacement site.

She confirmed that the attack took place in a civilian area where no military operations were taking place and where there were no military presences.

Emergency Lawyers condemned the attack in the strongest terms, calling for an end to the targeting of civilians in all populated areas and for an expanded humanitarian response, with special priority given to children and women in relief, psychological and health support.
