The heart disease and surgery center in Al Qadarif has been fully equipped in preparation for its opening.

July 13, 2026 (PEN) The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Al-Qadarif State, Acting Minister Ahmed Al-Amin Adam, announced the readiness of the late Abdul Karim Aboudah Center for Heart Diseases and Surgery to open, following the receipt of laboratory equipment and supplies provided by the Federal Ministry of Health.

Adam, accompanied by the state's Director of Medical Supplies, Iqtidar Abdul Rahman, inspected the center's new laboratory equipment as part of monitoring the completion of the equipment and preparing the center to begin operation.

They were received by the center's director and consultant in internal medicine and cardiology, Saeed Mohammed Omar.

Adam confirmed that most of the technical equipment at the center has been completed, in preparation for the start of providing treatment services to citizens in the coming period.

For his part, Saeed said that the equipment that arrived covers all the needs of operating the laboratory, noting that work is continuing to complete the project, which represents a qualitative addition to heart services in Al-Qadarif and eastern Sudan.

He explained that the cardiac catheterization device will arrive in the next few days, as it is the last essential component needed to complete the operation of the center, which will contribute to localizing the treatment of heart diseases and reducing the transfer of patients outside the state.

Saeed appreciated the support of the Federal Ministry of Health and the entities that contributed to the implementation of the project, stressing the continuation of efforts until the center is opened and begins providing its services as soon as possible.
