The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate mourns the loss of colleague Awad Abu Talib

14/July/2026 (PEN) The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate mourns the passing of fellow journalist Awad Abu Talib, who died yesterday, Monday, in the United States of America.

The union stated that the deceased worked for the Khartoum newspaper while it was published in Cairo in the 1990s, and was known for his high professionalism, sincerity and dedication to journalistic work. He was beloved among his colleagues and known for his good character and patience in the most difficult circumstances.

The union offered its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, his colleagues and loved ones, asking God Almighty to have mercy on him, grant him paradise, and inspire his family with patience and solace.
