Red Cross: There are approximately 6 million displaced people living in harsh conditions

December 28, 2023 (PEN) The International Committee of the Red Cross said that nearly 6 million displaced people in Sudan are living in harsh conditions and lack their most basic needs with the advent of winter in the country.

The committee had called on the parties to the conflict to ensure the protection of civilians and to create safe corridors for those fleeing areas of clashes to reach safe areas.

It is noteworthy that the International Committee of the Red Cross has participated in humanitarian interventions since the outbreak of the conflict in Sudan on April 15.
