Widespread Gulf condemnation of the targeting of Kuwait with missiles and drones

June 1, 2026 (PEN) The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, expressed his strongest condemnation and denunciation of the continued Iranian attacks targeting the State of Kuwait, stressing that these actions represent a dangerous and irresponsible escalation, a violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.

Al-Badawi stressed that Kuwait’s security is an integral part of the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, affirming that the GCC countries stand united and firm alongside Kuwait, and support all measures it takes to protect its sovereignty and security.

Al-Badawi called on the international community and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities and take a firm and deterrent stance towards these violations that threaten regional and international peace and security.

For its part, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the repeated Iranian attacks on Kuwait, stressing its categorical rejection of these attacks that affect its sovereignty, in clear violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

The Kingdom affirmed that these violations undermine international efforts aimed at restoring security and stability in the region, expressing its solidarity with Kuwait, government and people, and renewing its full support for all measures taken by Kuwait to preserve its sovereignty, security and stability.

In the same context, the United Arab Emirates condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian attacks that targeted Kuwait with missiles and drones, stressing that they represent a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability.

The UAE expressed its full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for everything that would preserve its security and stability.
