FTSE Russell: Qatari market indices remain unchanged so far

November 23, 2025 (pen) FTSE Russell announced the results of its quarterly review of market indices, confirming that the adjustments will take effect on December 17, 2025, following the closure of the Qatari market.

The Qatar Stock Exchange said in a statement published today on its website that the announcement did not include any entry or exit of Qatari companies from the indices, nor did it include any reclassification.

The exchange noted that the announced changes remain subject to review until the end of Friday, December 5, 2025, and will become final starting from Monday, December 8, 2025.

The FTSE Financial Markets Index is of great importance to global funds and portfolios, given its connection to major investments by the largest international banks and companies, and many European, British and global investment portfolios rely on it when making decisions regarding investment weights.
