Ethiopia affirms solidarity with Sudan during high-level humanitarian conference

February 14, 2025 (PEN) Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali affirmed that Ethiopia is happy to host the high-level humanitarian conference in support of the people of Sudan, which is being held today in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, the African Union, and IGAD.

In a tweet posted on the X platform, Abiy Ahmed stressed that Ethiopia stands with Sudan in these difficult times, describing his country as a “close neighbor and sister” linked to Sudan through generations of shared struggle, mutual aspirations, and deep cultural ties.
