The US confirms ongoing preparations for a dialogue between the conflicting parties in Sudan.

October 14, 2025 (PEN) - Masoud Boulos, US President Donald Trump's advisor for African affairs, confirmed that the US administration is in continuous contact with the conflicting parties in Sudan with the aim of reaching a peaceful solution to the crisis.

In statements to Al Arabiya, Boulos indicated that preparations are underway for a forthcoming dialogue involving all parties, including civil society, with the goal of formulating a roadmap to end the fighting in the country.

Paulos emphasized that the desired solution must be Sudanese-led, emphasizing that any military approach to the conflict is not on the table, and that the Quartet Initiative seeks to establish a clear framework for implementing this dialogue and achieving peace.
