Saudi Arabia offers condolences to Sudan over the victims of the gold mine collapse in the Howaid area.

June 30, 2025 (PEN) The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom's sincere condolences and sympathy to Sudan and the families of those killed in the gold mine collapse in the Howaid area.

The Ministry affirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's solidarity with the Sudanese government and people in this difficult time, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

It is noteworthy that yesterday, 11 workers were killed and 7 others injured in a partial collapse at the "Karsh El-Feel" mine in the Al-Huwaid area, located between the cities of Atbara and Haya.
