Saudi Arabia distributes 1,350 food baskets to displaced people in Khartoum and Al-Jazeera.

July 13, 2025 (PEN) - The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) distributed 1,350 food baskets to displaced and needy families in Khartoum and Al-Jazeera states, as part of the third phase of the Food Security Support Project in Sudan for the year 2025, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The aid included the distribution of 800 food baskets to 5,452 individuals in Bahri locality in Khartoum state, in addition to 550 food baskets that benefited 6,762 individuals in Al-Qurashi locality in Al-Jazeera state.

The center emphasized that these efforts come within the framework of the ongoing humanitarian support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its relief arm, to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Sudanese people due to the worsening humanitarian crisis and enhance food security in areas affected by the conflict.
