Sisi, Museveni discuss developments in Sudan

January 4, 2025 (PEN) Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received a phone call from Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni on Friday, during which they discussed the situation in East Africa and the Horn of Africa.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman for the Egyptian presidency, explained that Sisi reviewed the Egyptian efforts supporting Sudan to get out of its current crisis.

Al-Sisi stressed the importance of working to stop the fire and protect the Sudanese people from war states, in addition to facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to those affected, which Museveni appreciated.
