Cairo warns of repercussions of forming parallel government in Sudan

March 2, 2025 (PEN) The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Egypt's rejection of any attempts that threaten the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sudan.

The Foreign Ministry indicated that the quest to form a parallel Sudanese government would complicate the political scene in the country and hinder efforts to unify visions among political forces, in addition to exacerbating the humanitarian situation.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed, in a statement, the necessity for all Sudanese forces to prioritize the supreme national interest and engage positively in launching a comprehensive political process without exclusion or foreign interference.
