Kuwait calls for an end to the targeting of vital facilities in Sudan and calls for respecting the Jeddah Declaration.

May 4, 2025 (PEN) The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait's strong condemnation and denunciation of the attacks targeting vital civilian facilities in the cities of Kassala and Port Sudan, considering this a dangerous turning point in the course of the ongoing conflict in the country.

In a statement, the ministry reiterated its call to Kuwait not to target civilian centers and facilities, which are a vital lifeline for the population.

The ministry also called for a ceasefire and adherence to the provisions of the Jeddah Declaration issued on May 11, 2023, which emphasized the protection of civilians, the preservation of Sudan's independence and territorial integrity, and the support of its national institutions.
