British envoy affirms his country's support for a peaceful solution and ending the suffering of the Sudanese people

October 2, 2024 (PEN) Babiker Faisal, head of the Federal Gathering's executive office, and Omar Al-Degair, head of the Sudanese Congress Party, met with the new British envoy Richard Crowder in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, yesterday, Tuesday.

The meeting discussed the escalation of war in Sudan and its disastrous effects, including killing, displacement, asylum, and violations, and stressed the importance of intensifying Sudanese and international efforts to bring peace and end the suffering of the Sudanese people.

For his part, the British envoy expressed his country's support for the Sudanese in light of the current crisis, stressing the continuation of international efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the conflict and address the tragic humanitarian conditions afflicting the Sudanese.
