King Salman Relief Foundation launches a project to support Sudanese kidney patients in Egypt.

July 1, 2025 (PEN) - The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) launched yesterday in Cairo a project to support Sudanese patients with kidney failure in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in cooperation with the World Health Organization and the Egyptian Ministry of Health.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the project will be implemented in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Luxor, and Aswan.

The project includes three main objectives: the first is to ensure life-saving healthcare services, the second is to map service providers in areas with high Sudanese population density, and the third is to ensure sustainable access to treatment.

Egyptian Health Minister Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said, "What we are witnessing today is a fruitful collaboration between the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, the Ministry, and the World Health Organization, with the aim of alleviating the suffering of Sudanese kidney failure patients in Egypt."

Abdel Ghaffar expressed his great appreciation to the center for its support of global health initiatives, indicating that the project aims to provide (90) thousand kidney dialysis sessions annually, in addition to providing integrated pharmaceutical and therapeutic services in Egyptian hospitals.
