The United States commends Saudi Arabia's efforts to push for a ceasefire in Sudan.

May 8, 2025 (PEN) US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a phone call on Wednesday with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, during which they discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

During the call, Rubio praised Saudi Arabia's efforts to push for a ceasefire in Sudan and its support for efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
