Tehran calls for urgent international action to stop the war in Sudan.

May 5, 2025 (PEN) Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaei called on the international community, organizations, and forums to live up to their responsibilities in stopping the conflicts and sending humanitarian aid to the Sudanese people.

In a statement carried by the Iranian News Agency (IRNA) on Sunday, Baghaei condemned the attack that targeted the airport and non-military facilities in Port Sudan.

Baghaei expressed concern over the continued attacks on civilian urban facilities, including power plants, hospitals, desalination plants, and non-military airports, calling for an end to the targeting of civilians.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman also addressed the massive displacement and famine disaster in Sudan, calling on the international community to assist the Sudanese people.
