The G7 condemns the ongoing fighting in Sudan and calls for a cessation of hostilities.

March 15, 2025 (PEN) The G7 foreign ministers condemned the ongoing fighting and atrocities in Sudan, including sexual violence against women and girls, which have led to the world's largest humanitarian crisis and widespread famine.

In a final statement following their meeting in Canada, the ministers called on the warring parties to protect civilians, immediately cease hostilities, and ensure unhindered access for humanitarian aid.

The ministers also urged external actors to end their support for the warring parties, which contributes to fueling the conflict.

The G7 includes the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, and Japan.
