Egypt renews its condemnation of the attacks on civilian facilities in Port Sudan.

May 6, 2025 (PEN) The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strongest condemnation and denunciation of the attacks that targeted civilian facilities and infrastructure in Port Sudan early Tuesday morning, stressing that these attacks constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

The ministry emphasized the seriousness of the recent escalation and its profoundly negative impact on ceasefire efforts and the protection of civilians, as well as its obstruction of humanitarian aid to those in need in Sudan.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry reiterated its categorical rejection of any targeting of civilian facilities, stressing that such actions inflict significant damage on the Sudanese state's capabilities and exacerbate the daily suffering of its citizens.
