November 15, 2025 (PEN) The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty discussed in a telephone call yesterday, Friday, with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, developments in the regional situation, especially in Sudan.

The statement explained that the two ministers reaffirmed the importance of a ceasefire and creating the conditions for launching a comprehensive political process that preserves Sudan’s unity, sovereignty and stability.

According to the statement, Abdel-Aati expressed Egypt’s condemnation of what he called the “horrific atrocities and violations” taking place in El Fasher, calling for concerted regional and international efforts to support the Sudanese people and their national institutions.
