Egypt and Saudi Arabia discuss the Sudanese crisis.

December 15, 2025 (PEN) The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty discussed, during a telephone call with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, developments in the regional situation, especially the latest developments in Sudan.

The ministry added that the call addressed developments in the Sudanese crisis, with the two ministers stressing the importance of continuing coordination within the framework of the quadripartite mechanism, with the aim of reaching a comprehensive ceasefire.

According to the statement, Minister Abdel-Aati stressed the importance of providing safe havens and humanitarian corridors to ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister reiterated Egypt’s firm position in support of Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, stability, and the preservation of its national institutions.
