UAE, US discuss humanitarian crises in Sudan, Gaza

November 26, 2024 (PEN) The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken held a phone call with his Emirati counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which the two parties discussed the latest developments in Sudan, especially the humanitarian repercussions resulting from the conflict.

The two ministers also discussed the ongoing political and diplomatic efforts to achieve a sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, in a way that supports regional security and stability.

In the same context, they discussed developments in the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, and reviewed the efforts of the international community to enhance the response to the urgent needs of civilians in light of the current crisis.
