Saudi Arabia condemns the targeting of infrastructure in Sudan and calls for an immediate end to the war.

May 4, 2025 (PEN) The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of vital facilities and infrastructure in both Port Sudan and Kassala, stressing the need for an immediate end to the war and to spare Sudan and its people further suffering and destruction.

The ministry stressed that the solution to the Sudanese crisis must be political, negotiated between the Sudanese themselves, ensuring Sudan's sovereignty and unity and supporting the country's national institutions.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry also reiterated, according to the statement, its absolute rejection of violations against civilians, calling for their protection and the implementation of what was agreed upon in the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11, 2023.
