The Peace and Security Council's report to the African Summit affirms support for Sudan's unity and sovereignty.

February 14, 2026 (PEN) Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty affirmed the African Union Peace and Security Council’s continued monitoring of developments in Sudan and its support for efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire and a comprehensive political settlement.

This came during the Minister’s presentation of the Council’s annual report to the African Union Summit on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

The report emphasized the importance of preserving Sudan’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and working to create conditions that meet the aspirations of the Sudanese people for security and stability.
