Iranian television confirms the death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a plane crash

Iran announced that the president's plane had crashed yesterday, Sunday, and the search for the wreckage took 16 hours, according to Iranian media.

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi is the eighth president of the state, as he assumed power on August 3, 2021, succeeding Hassan Rouhani.
