In fulfillment of the late Pope's will, the Vatican converts its vehicle into a mobile clinic for the children of Gaza.

May 5, 2025 (PEN) The Vatican confirmed that one of the papal vehicles used by Pope Francis during his visit to the occupied Palestinian territories in 2014 is currently being prepared to be transformed into a mobile health clinic dedicated to treating children in the Gaza Strip, fulfilling one of his last wishes before his death last April.

A statement issued by the Vatican explained that the mobile clinic will be equipped with medical equipment to diagnose cases and provide first aid, with the aim of assisting sick children in the Palestinian Strip, which is experiencing a severe humanitarian crisis.

The Pope entrusted this mission to Caritas Jerusalem, a Catholic relief organization, months before his death.
