Martin Griffiths expresses his concern about the escalating events in Israel and Palestine

8 October 2023 (pen) UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths expressed his deep concern about the rapidly escalating events in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories.

Reports indicate that the number of civilian casualties on both sides has already reached hundreds and is rising very quickly, according to Martin Griffiths.

Martin appealed to all parties to stop the fighting immediately and protect civilians everywhere and at all times, adding that violence is never the solution and failure to stop the fighting will only lead to more bloodshed.
