The Gulf Cooperation Council holds the occupation forces responsible for the escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories

October 7, 2023 (QNA) The Gulf Cooperation Council held the Israeli occupation forces responsible for the escalation of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, as a result of the continued blatant and ongoing Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people and holy places.

In a statement today, Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Council, called for an immediate halt to the escalation between the Palestinians and the Israeli occupation forces, to protect innocent civilians.

Al-Budaiwi said that the ongoing Israeli attacks represent a flagrant violation of international conventions and laws and hamper the efforts of the peace process to resolve the Palestinian issue. He renewed his call for the institutions of the international community to intervene forcefully and quickly to revive efforts to empower the Palestinian people with their legitimate rights to establish their state on the 1967 lands with East Jerusalem as its capital, to achieve The desired peace and stability in the occupied Palestinian territories.
