The Qatari Embassy in Cairo announces the death of three members of the Amiri Diwan.

October 12, 2025 (PEN) The Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt expressed its deep sorrow on Sunday over the death of three members of the Amiri Diwan in a traffic accident that occurred in Sharm El-Sheikh while they were performing their duties, according to a statement issued by the embassy.

The embassy stated that the deceased were Saud bin Thamer Al Thani, Abdullah Ghanem Al Khayarin, and Hassan Jaber Al Jaber, while Abdullah Issa Al Kuwari and Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Buainain were injured in the accident. The embassy noted that the injured are receiving the necessary medical care at Sharm El Sheikh International Hospital.

The statement added that the embassy immediately began following up on the incident with the relevant Egyptian authorities, confirming that the bodies of the deceased and injured will be transported to Doha on a Qatari plane today.

The Embassy offered its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, praying to God Almighty to bestow His mercy upon them and grant them eternal peace in Heaven, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery.

The embassy concluded its statement by expressing its thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian authorities for their cooperation and keenness to follow up on the incident and provide the necessary facilities.
